Reconciliation is under the category of healing. It is often known as the Sacrament of Penance. This sacrament is where a catholic talks to the priest and confesses their sins in hope for forgiveness from God. The sacrament of reconciliation celebrates the call to repentance after a process of conversion of the heart. There are very specific symbols for reconciliation. These symbols are:
Evidence of Reconciliation in the bible: Matthew 18:15-17
“If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every charge may be established by the evidence of two or three witnesses. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.
Evidence of Reconciliation: 2 Corinthians 5:18-21
All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
